Well the short story of it is. I have been watching her like a Hawk for weeks now bc I know turning 17 isn't going to be easy for her. Something just felt off right when I woke up. Boy oh boy I was right. Saturday morning I took her outside and she wasn't standing on her own, I picked her up and rubbed her hips a little thinking it might help. She walked a little to pee and kept stumbling over and sitting there blank like she was confused on what just happened. I called some people to get a number to their vet. They all thought she might have had a stroke. I RUSHED her to the vet's asap. While I was there he said that 24 hr care would be best. I drove my baby in traffic to L.A for the clinic. We talked about possible outcomes, maybe heart failure...she was having x-ray and placed in a oxygen bubble to help her breathe. Once the x-rays came back I learned she had cancer. I only could do one thing and that was love her so much the next few hrs and put her to sleep. It was so hard to do. I was there the whole time. I kissed her while she left her body. *Holds back tears* I missed her right after her heart stopped and knew she changed my life forever. I'm 23 years old I had her since I was 7 years old. She was my 17 year old pup.
Thank you for the great pic. ::hugs::

That's our new puppy, the white one in the center, back when he was a baby. My mom got one of the blues there around him, we can't figure out which he was. He is 8.7lbs and 4 months old so this is when he was a teeny baby not a big baby. He was actually the RUNT of the litter too. All his other siblings are "the right size" but come on....who could not love that guy? Since we adopted our puppies so late [19wks] the breeder sent us all kinds of puppy pictures of them growing up. No idea why nobody wanted this guy!!!! Or his brother for that matter [who is not "too big"] I'm so sorry to hear about your girl. I had a pug from age 4-16 and it was murder when she died. I actually wrote one of my college essays about her death...and I got into that school and didn't get into the easier school where I wrote about being a violinist. Dog death is hard in any circumstances but it's extra hard when you've been together through so much. Well I don't know...it was also very hard when my 6 year old boxer died...it's always hard! Are you still going to be getting another dog? Not that anybody will ever replace her but it's easier when you aren't dogless to move on because you still can do the dog things you're used to doing.

Wow. sooooo cute.
Honestly I still want to mourn a bit more, but I feel a man is nothing wihtout his dog. I need little paws around the house. Puppy "shoppin" is tough bc I'll wanna save more than one. *Sigh* damn living in a town home and being a poorish 23! I'll really thinking things out.
Thx you so much for the pic. I just read in Chihuahua about a puppy being killed and I scared to tear up. This made me smile. God I love doggies. They are life and air I swear.
